Comprising over 50 accredited investors, the group aims to help founders take their companies to the next level by leveraging a global ecosystem of veteran industry experts. Since 2020, TiE SoCal Angels has hosted monthly pitch events on the third Wednesday of each month. Companies that pass TiE SoCal's due diligence process can be elevated to TiE Global Angels. The organization provides access to funding programs for founders seeking capital, while also maintaining a database of charter members interested in serving on advisory boards for startups and other companies. Beyond direct investment, TiE SoCal is committed to empowering the community through initiatives such as the TiE Internship Program, which offers employment opportunities to young members and students, and the TiE Women initiative, which focuses on capacity building, networking, and knowledge sharing among women across various sectors.
