Books On Toast is a book club in Mumbai that hosts discussions, podcasts, and book sales supporting Dharavi Art room.

Books On Toast is a community-based book club in Mumbai founded by Sharin Bhatti and Anuya Jakatdar, who share a passion for storytelling and fiction. The group organizes discussions where members explore novels with enthusiasm, treating stories as if they were family and plots as complex realities. Their initiative began with book sales where donated second-hand paperbacks and hardcovers were sold for INR 50 and INR 100 respectively, with all proceeds going to the Dharavi Art room, an NPO dedicated to teaching art and reading to children in Dharavi. This model ensures that purchases directly impact what someone will learn. Beyond meetings, the group produces the BoTcasts podcast, featuring interviews with comedians and avid readers, and maintains an active presence on Facebook and YouTube with recommendations, discussions, and entertaining content. They welcome everyone, including those who have never opened a book or often leave them unfinished, offering fun topics like 'Books We Could Never Finish' and 'Never Read A Book In Your Life' to ensure all participants enjoy the experience.
