Caferati is a free book club in Mumbai focused on book swaps and literary discussions.

Caferati is a book club in Mumbai founded in 2012 by Anvita Budhraja, a student of Dhirubhai Ambani International School. The group operates on the motto that knowledge increases when shared, aiming to connect book lovers under one roof to exchange books, discuss literature, and meet new people. With close to 1,600 members, the club has successfully organized nearly 95 meet-ups over the years. Activities include book swaps, intellectual talks, and social gatherings featuring food, coffee, and drinks. The club does not charge any fees to its members. While primarily known as a book swap hub, Caferati also hosts creative writing contests, workshops, and literary events across Mumbai. The group has evolved from a literary blog started by three friends into a well-known writing forum that supports and encourages member writing. It maintains an active social media presence and has been featured in both digital and print media. Caferati focuses on connecting like-minded readers and has reached out to colleges in Mumbai to conduct creative writing contests where participants rewrite famous scenes with a modern twist. The group remains one of the most active and successful book clubs in the city, fostering a community of readers and writers who enjoy exploring diverse genres and sharing their passion for literature.
