The Roots of Music is a New Orleans-based organization dedicated to empowering youth through mentorship and music education. The charity also provides academic support to help students keep up with their schoolwork. Serving children between the ages of 9 and 14 from low-income families, the program offers instrumental education, hot meals, and transportation to easily facilitate participation in the ensemble. Individuals interested in volunteering with The Roots of Music can donate their time to assist students with homework, studying, and school projects, helping these young musicians succeed in their academic efforts by lending expertise and support.
