Greenlight Bookstore Book Groups in Brooklyn offer free monthly book discussions on diverse topics.

Greenlight Bookstore Book Groups is a collection of free monthly reading circles located in Brooklyn, organized by Greenlight Events Coordinator Ashli and Greenlight bookseller Micah. The group features six distinct book clubs: a Fantasy Book Group exploring mystical genres; a Queer Book Group discussing contemporary fiction and nonfiction related to queer identity; a Fiction Book Group covering broad contemporary and classic paperback fiction; a Radical Nonfiction Book Group focusing on history, politics, and social justice; a Black Lit group amplifying works by Black voices; and a Literature in Translation group highlighting global books from marginalized voices and indie presses. Meetings generally occur monthly on specific Tuesdays or Wednesdays at various local venues such as Fritz, Hops Hill at Atlantic, and BierWax. While most meetings are free, some locations like Hops Hill and BierWax offer drinks. The groups meet at 7pm each month to discuss a wide range of titles, from historical classics to contemporary fiction, providing a space for community engagement and literary discussion in the Fort Green neighborhood.
