Friendly Hong Kong-style Mahjong group meeting Thursdays in Vancouver.

The Mahjong group is a friendly gathering within the University Women’s Club of Vancouver for members who enjoy Hong Kong-style Mahjong. The group meets on Thursdays from 1:30 to 3:30 pm to play for fun in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you are an experienced player or have never tried Mahjong before, the group is open to all — if you don’t know how to play, the members will teach you. The focus is on enjoyment and camaraderie rather than competition, making it an easygoing way to spend an afternoon. As one of the club’s many member-directed interest groups, it offers an opportunity to connect with other members while learning and playing a classic tile-based game. The group is part of a vibrant club that hosts numerous activities throughout the week, and this particular gathering provides a regular weekly meetup for those interested in Mahjong. With its simple format and welcoming spirit, it is an ideal way to try something new or to enjoy a familiar pastime with fellow club members.
