The Cherub Choir in Virginia Beach offers young children a musical introduction to worship.

The Cherub Choir in Virginia Beach is part of the music ministry at Galilee, where sacred music plays an essential role in the liturgical and spiritual life of the church. Designed for children ages 5 to 7, the Cherub Choir holds rehearsals on Thursdays from 4:30 to 5:00 pm from September through May. During these sessions, young singers learn a lot by rote, the basics of healthy singing, solfege, reading music, and the purpose of singing as a church community. Members of the Cherub Choir have the opportunity to occasionally sing for the 9:15 am service as well as for special occasions such as Christmas Eve. Participating in the music ministry provides an opportunity to serve, learn, and be part of something bigger. Individuals interested in getting involved or learning more can reach out to Organist and Choirmaster Mary Dolch.
