Migrant women-led group in Beirut defending domestic workers' rights.
Reclaim Our Rights (ROR) is a collective of migrant women activists from Kenya, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Cameroon, and the Philippines based in Beirut. Dedicated to defending the rights and dignity of migrant workers in Lebanon, the group works through community-led efforts and mutual aid to address the urgent needs arising from the ongoing humanitarian crisis. With displacement figures rising due to conflict and evacuation orders, ROR collaborates with other grassroots initiatives to provide essential support to affected communities, particularly those facing discrimination and systemic challenges. Their work highlights the resilience of Lebanon’s migrant worker population and the critical role of collective action in times of crisis. By centering the voices and experiences of migrant women, ROR challenges the status quo and advocates for systemic change, offering a model of solidarity that extends beyond immediate relief.
