Chicago Chess is a community group for chess players in Chicago.

Chicago Chess brings together anyone interested in the game, from absolute beginners to grandmasters, for casual, free play in the city. The group operates in collaboration with local partners and welcomes participants of all ages and skill levels to join its open sessions. Events are organized on a regular basis, such as the Monday Slow Game held on April 8 and the CPS Day Off Chess Camp on April 10, offering varied formats for learning and competition. Attendance requires an RSVP through the group’s Meetup page, ensuring a smooth and organized experience for all members. By providing a friendly environment and a range of activities, Chicago Chess aims to foster community, improve skills, and share the enjoyment of chess throughout Chicago.
