Lakeview Chess Club in Chicago teaches chess to K-5 students on Thursdays.

The Lakeview Chess Club in Chicago offers a structured chess program for students in grades K through 5, meeting every Thursday before school from 8:00 am to 9:05 am at the local Library. Each session begins with a five-minute reset, followed by twenty minutes of guided practice where coaches provide immediate feedback, another twenty minutes of interactive lessons, and concludes with a twenty-minute club tournament where top finishers receive trophies and medals. The Fall Session runs from October 8 until December 10, with the club closed on November 26. Tuition is set at $220 per student for the nine-week term. The program is led by a dedicated coaching team consisting of Coach Tim, Coach Lane, and Coach Pola. Participants receive a t-shirt and weekly optional homework sheets to support their learning. For further information or inquiries about joining, interested parties may contact the club at [email protected].
