Park Community Church fosters collaboration by coordinating seasonal rhythms of united prayer and collective action among churches and faith-based organizations throughout Chicagoland. The group operates on the belief that while prayer is essential, it must be complemented by God-inspired action to achieve holistic change, aiming to bring about shalom, peace, well-being, and completeness in the community. Formed in 2017 as a collaboration of various praying networks, including Pray Chicago, the organization champions these seasonal rhythms throughout the year. They support place-based individuals and organizations through training and connection as they seek the thriving of their communities. Key initiatives include the annual Christian, city-wide United Prayer event, typically held over Memorial Day Weekend, which rallies churches, organizations, and individuals to host united prayer and positive community presence across the city. The group also focuses on the next generation through the Investment in Our Youth program, mobilizing residents, organizations, schools, and city leaders to invest in young people. This includes seeking Prayer Champions to lead weekly prayer corners in local schools and the Faith & Service Initiative, which nurtures the Christian faith of 13–29 year-olds through relational discipleship and meaningful acts of service. The church invites participation in these collaborative efforts to practice and grow in unity, encouraging individuals to be part of the collective effort to mobilize united prayer and local action.
