Pray Chicago coordinates seasonal prayer and community action across Chicagoland.

Pray Chicago is a faith-based movement in Chicago dedicated to fostering collaboration through seasonal rhythms of united prayer and collective action among churches and faith-based organizations. Rooted in the biblical message of shalom, the group believes that while prayer is essential, it must be complemented by God-inspired action to bring holistic change. Formed in 2017 as a collaboration of various praying networks, including the original Pray Chicago group from 2014, the collective champions these rhythms throughout the year. The organization supports place-based individuals and organizations through training and connection, aiming to help them seek the thriving of their communities. Key initiatives include the annual Memorial Day Weekend rally, where churches and organizations host united prayer and positive community presence across the city, and the Fall rhythm, a time to deepen friendships and sync efforts for the fame of Jesus' name. Pray Chicago actively mobilizes communities to invest in the next generation through the Investment in Our Youth program and the Faith & Service Initiative, which nurtures the Christian faith of young people ages 13 to 29 through relational discipleship and meaningful acts of service. Prayer Champions are also recruited to lead weekly prayer sessions on school corners during the school year. The group operates as a collaborative effort involving many churches, denominations, and leaders, offering monthly prayer and updates meetings to keep members engaged in their shared mission.
