Progressive Baptist Church Chicago fosters faith-based collaboration and seasonal prayer action.

Progressive Baptist Church in Chicago is a faith community dedicated to mobilizing collaboration through coordinated seasonal rhythms of united prayer and collective action among churches and faith-based organizations. Rooted in the biblical message of shalom, the group believes that while prayer is essential, it must be complemented by God-inspired action to bring holistic change. As part of the Chicagoland United in Prayer movement, the church supports place-based individuals and organizations through training and connection, aiming to foster the thriving of their communities. The church participates in various initiatives, including the Investment in Our Youth program, which mobilizes residents, schools, and city leaders to invest in the next generation, and the Faith & Service Initiative, which nurtures the Christian faith of young adults aged 13 to 29 through relational discipleship and meaningful service. Members also engage in specific events such as the Memorial Day Weekend rally for united prayer and positive community presence, and the annual Fall rhythm to deepen friendships and sync efforts. The church regularly hosts monthly prayer and updates meetings and encourages individuals to become Prayer Champions by leading weekly prayer sessions at local schools. Through these collaborative efforts involving many churches, denominations, and leaders, Progressive Baptist Church practices and grows in unity, seeking to practice and grow in unity while working toward peace, well-being, and completeness in Chicagoland.
