AI Tinkerers LA is a hands-on tech meetup group for builders in Los Angeles focused on AI.

AI Tinkerers Los Angeles is a premier community for engineers, founders, researchers, and product builders dedicated to hands-on work with artificial intelligence. As part of a global network spanning 270 cities with over 140,000 members, the LA chapter serves as a hub for technical practitioners working on AI agents, multimodal and voice interfaces, RAG systems, AI coding tools, workflow automation, and production AI infrastructure. Unlike typical meetups focused on sales pitches or general lectures, AI Tinkerers LA events are demo-first, attendee-screened, and centered on real-world projects. Each gathering features live demonstrations of working prototypes, architecture lessons, technical deep-dives, failure post-mortems, and practical Q&A sessions where builders share code and receive peer feedback. Events typically run for approximately three hours, fostering a collaborative environment where participants can trade ideas, showcase their work-in-progress systems, and network with others actively shipping AI applications. The group emphasizes shipping real systems over theoretical discussions, ensuring that every meetup offers tangible value through interactive sessions, lightning talks, and opportunities to learn from the practical challenges of building scalable AI solutions.
