Among the organizations housed there are the Korean American Museum, which explores the Korean American experience through exhibits on life across the United States, and the Koreatown Youth and Community Center. The association's shared facility enables collaborative programming and services that support cultural preservation and community development. The Korean American Museum, in particular, fosters creative approaches to advancing Korean American culture. The association operates within a neighborhood that has grown since the first Korean settlers arrived in 1904, evolving into the largest Korean concentration outside the Korean Peninsula. While the association itself focuses on providing a hub for its member organizations, the broader Koreatown community also hosts events such as the annual Los Angeles Korean Festival, which celebrates Korean heritage and draws hundreds of thousands of attendees.
