Soothe is a ten-week group designed for newborns to early walkers and their caregivers in Los Angeles. The program focuses on soothing the caregiver while soothing the baby, developing and expanding coping and soothing strategies over the course of the ten weeks. Each session utilizes expressive arts, baby massage, developmental and sensory play to build connection and attachment between mother and child, while supporting community within the group. By working with consistency, predictability, and routine, participants create archival, heirloom baby-centered art and a journal during the ten weeks. The group aims to foster greater competency and trust in the new role of parent, resulting in a loved and secure baby.
