Jane Austen Book Club in Mumbai meets to read, discuss, and swap Jane Austen books.

Founded in 2012 by Anvita Budhraja, the Jane Austen Book Club in Mumbai was established under the motto that knowledge increases when shared. The group brings together close to 1,600 book lovers to exchange books, participate in intellectual talks, and enjoy meet-ups over food, coffee, or drinks. While primarily focused on reading, re-reading, discussing, and probing the works of Jane Austen, the club also organizes creative-writing contests where members adapt famous scenes to the 21st century. The club has successfully conducted nearly 95 meet-ups across Mumbai and serves as a writing forum that encourages and supports member writing. It connects readers through regular sessions and has reached out to colleges for events, maintaining an active presence in the city's literary community.
