Akshaya Patra Foundation – a hunger‑relief NGO serving schoolchildren in Mysore.

The Akshaya Patra Foundation is an Indian non‑governmental organization dedicated to ending classroom hunger. In Mysore, as part of its strong operations across Karnataka, the foundation delivers nutritious mid‑day meals to schoolchildren every school day, contributing to a national reach of over two million children. Its kitchen facilities are certified by national food authorities for hygiene and quality, ensuring that meals meet strict safety standards. The Mysore programme is highlighted as a model of scale and meaningful social impact, supported by robust government partnerships and transparent annual audits. Recognised as one of the most trusted hunger‑fighting NGOs in the country, Akshaya Patra’s work aligns with broader efforts in Mysore’s vibrant civil‑society landscape to improve health, education and equity for vulnerable communities.
