Nathaniel's Hope

Nathaniel's Hope: volunteer buddies for children with special needs in Orlando.

Nathaniel's Hope is a local Orlando organization that celebrates and supports children with special needs, known in the community as VIPs. The group’s flagship program, Buddy Break, offers a free, once‑monthly “Parents’ Day Out” that gives kids three hours of games, crafts, music, and friendship in a safe, inclusive setting. While the children and their siblings play and learn, caregivers enjoy a much‑needed respite, confident that their loved ones are in a caring environment. Teens aged 14 and older can join as Volunteer Buddies after completing a two‑hour orientation. No prior experience is required—just a caring heart and a willingness to create joy. Volunteers help keep the activities running smoothly, from setting up games to leading craft projects, ensuring every child feels welcomed and supported. Nathaniel's Hope’s mission is to provide a space where children with special needs can thrive, families can find relief, and volunteers can make a lasting impact in the Orlando community.
