Volunteer and support wildlife conservation at the Sanford Zoo in Orlando.

The Sanford Zoo Volunteer Program offers animal lovers in the Orlando area rewarding ways to contribute to wildlife conservation and animal care. Part of the Central Florida Zoo and Botanical Gardens, the program provides diverse opportunities tailored to different skills, interests, and schedules. For younger participants, the Teen Team welcomes kids starting at age 13 to gain hands-on training and learn about wildlife, while high school students can fulfill service hours through the Bright Futures volunteer program. Adult participants can choose from several distinct paths, including the Zoo Interpreter program, the Docent program, and the Zoo Crew, each featuring unique responsibilities and commitments. Through these structured volunteer pathways, participants help support the Zoo's mission to inspire action for wildlife, assist with daily operations, and engage with visitors while gaining valuable experience. Whether you are a student seeking service hours or an adult looking to give back to the community and support animal care, the Sanford Zoo Volunteer Program offers a meaningful way to get involved with Orlando's closest zoo.
