Ignatian Volunteer Corps (IVC) St. Louis connects retired and semi-retired adults with nonprofit organizations throughout the greater St. Louis area, matching volunteers to roles that align with their skills and interests. Corps members serve one or two days a week during the academic year, providing consistent support in areas such as education and tutoring, housing and homelessness services, refugee and immigrant assistance, community outreach, food distribution, elder care, and administrative help. No specialized training is required beyond a willingness to serve. Beyond direct service, IVC fosters a community rooted in Ignatian spirituality: members gather monthly for reflection and prayer, with optional one-on-one spiritual support, and participate in retreats that link their volunteer work to deeper meaning.
