Volunteer with Elev8 Baltimore to support students through tutoring, coaching, and mentoring.

Elev8 Baltimore thrives because of the support of sponsors, partners, employees, and volunteers who help students develop both in and out of school. Volunteers serve in a variety of roles including tutors, athletic coaches, cafeteria aides, hall monitors, administrative support, and beautification projects. Opportunities include the AARP Experience Corps tutor program where volunteers age 50 and older help kindergarten through third-grade children learn to read during the academic year from September through May. Volunteers can also support the South Baltimore Adult High School by providing strategic tutoring online and in-person weekly to help adults return to school and earn their high school diploma. Additionally, the out-of-school time program offers ongoing volunteer opportunities from October through May for tutors in math, Spanish, and English Language Arts, as well as athletic coaches and mentors for middle and high school students. The Elev8 Volunteer Mentor Program empowers students to succeed in school through professional guidance and community support, pairing mentors with students during the school day to focus on improving attendance, setting goals, and building strong social-emotional skills.
