The Community Chorus of Detroit performs concerts and rehearses in Detroit, Michigan.

The Community Chorus of Detroit welcomes members to its new program year, with rehearsals beginning on Sunday, September 13th at 1:30 p.m. at Christ Church Detroit, located at 960 East Jefferson Avenue, Detroit, MI 48207. Led by Artistic Director and Conductor Dr. Edward Maki-Schramm and Assistant Conductor and Accompanist Dr. Steven McGhee, the group invites the public to join them in singing in the heart of Detroit. The chorus expresses deep gratitude to its supporters for their contributions that enable this work to continue. Their efforts are supported in part by the Michigan Arts & Culture Council and the National Endowment for the Arts. For any questions regarding the chorus or its activities, members are encouraged to contact Dr. Maki-Schramm directly at [email protected]. The organization is currently seeking ticket sales for its November 2026 concert, where patrons may choose to contribute a small amount toward PayPal fees to help offset administrative costs.
