Home Movie Film Club
Home Movie Film Club brings together film enthusiasts, skaters, creatives, and curious strangers in Lagos for thought-provoking screenings. Held every second Thursday at Suudu Lagos, the club focuses on documentaries exploring Black lives, culture, and politics. Each third Thursday at WAFFLESNCREAM store features short films by independent Nigerian filmmakers alongside a BIPOC feature, creating a space for genuine conversation and reflection. Curated by Rachel Ojuromi and hosted by Ifeoluwa Olutayo, the screenings showcase diverse works ranging from acclaimed features like CJ Obasi's Mamiwata to emerging directors' shorts. Past editions have included films such as Apolline Traoré's Borders and Olawunmi Hassan and Adaobi Samson's Irun Didi, fostering an environment where cinema sparks meaningful dialogue and connection among attendees.
