Los Angeles Silent Book Club meets for low-pressure reading in Los Angeles.

Los Angeles Silent Book Club is a low-pressure community for readers who enjoy reading silently but together. There is no assigned reading list; simply bring whatever book is currently in your TBR pile and join us. The meetup begins with a half hour dedicated to socializing and getting comfortable with the group. This is followed by a dedicated silent reading hour, allowing everyone to focus on their own books in peace. After the silent session, there is another half hour available to discuss what you read or simply to hang out and get to know the other readers. All formats are welcome, including physical books, e-readers, or audiobooks, though headphones are required for audio formats. There is no RSVP needed, so you can just show up ready to read. For updates on other meetups and locations, the group maintains an Instagram presence at instagram.com/silentbookclubla.
