Pen America Los Angeles Book Club promotes free expression through literature in Los Angeles.

Pen America Los Angeles Book Club is a literary community situated in Los Angeles, California, organized by the American chapter of the international organization PEN, which was founded in 1922. Originally standing for poets, essayists, and novelists, PEN promotes the freedom of expression through writing and great literature. While the group experienced difficulties setting up meetings during the global pandemic, regular meetings are now expected to resume. These gatherings often feature guest author appearances, providing members with opportunities to engage with published voices. The club serves as a hub for readers who wish to discuss books and participate in discussions that align with PEN's mission of fostering free expression through the power of literature. As part of a broader network of book clubs across Los Angeles, this group continues to offer a space for literary exchange and community connection.
