The Gloss Book Club Venice Chapter meets monthly in Los Angeles to discuss shared books.

The Gloss Book Club - Venice Chapter is a global book club dedicated to connecting likeminded readers through the shared experience of great literature. The concept is straightforward: all members read the same book over the same period, then gather in their respective cities at the end of each month to discuss the text and exchange perspectives. This specific chapter operates out of the Venice area in Los Angeles, providing a local hub for members to engage in thoughtful conversation. The chapter is hosted by Ann Mickelson, an avid reader who believes that meeting new people and connecting through books is a powerful way to build community. She values the idea that similarities provide a common ground while differences allow for mutual fascination and growth. Currently, the chapter is actively seeking a new host to lead their upcoming discussions. If you are interested in applying to become the host of this chapter, please contact the organization directly. The club focuses on fostering connections among readers who share a passion for books and enjoy discussing them in person, offering a regular opportunity to learn from one another and strengthen local ties within the Los Angeles community.
