The Agency Mart Crew is a vital volunteer group at the Mid-South Food Bank in Memphis, dedicated to managing product in the Agency Mart where local partner agencies shop for fresh produce, frozen and refrigerated foods, bread, and non-perishable items. Volunteers arrive at the food bank at designated sign-up times to assist with restocking shelves, cleaning the area, and organizing fresh produce and food items when agencies visit. This role is essential for maintaining an efficient environment for our network of partner agencies. While the organization welcomes volunteers of all ages, with a minimum age of ten and specific requirements for certain tasks, the Agency Mart Crew generally requires volunteers to be at least 18 years old to ensure safety and proper handling of goods. Regular ongoing opportunities are not available on major holidays including New Year's Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Volunteers can gain priceless work experience, build connections with local leadership, and directly contribute to changing lives in the Mid-South.
