The Donor Relations Phone Call Crew is a volunteer group dedicated to supporting the Mid-South Food Bank in Memphis by connecting with donors through telephone calls. Volunteers in this role arrive at the food bank at designated sign-up times to perform duties that include event sign-ups, donor thank-you calls, recurring donation updates, and general donor cultivation. All members of this crew must be at least 18 years old. Comprehensive training is provided upon arrival, and a packet of materials is distributed before the volunteer date begins. This position is part of a broader volunteer program at the Mid-South Food Bank, which also includes Sort & Pack Crew, Re-Pack Room Crew, Agency Mart Crew, Clerical Crew, and Special Events Crew. While the food bank offers various volunteer opportunities, regular ongoing shifts are not available on major holidays such as New Year's Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and the days surrounding Christmas. Volunteers interested in joining must register for opportunities through VOMO, where tasks are posted weekly based on departmental needs.
