Re-Pack Room Crew is a volunteer group dedicated to supporting the Mid-South Food Bank in Memphis by helping re-pack bulk items for partner agencies. Volunteers arrive at a designated sign-up time to assist with inspecting, organizing, and packing products for distribution. This role is part of a broader volunteer effort where caring friends change lives in the Mid-South by gaining work experience, building connections with local leadership, and bringing hope to others. Regular ongoing opportunities are available, though the group does not operate on major holidays including New Year's Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. Volunteers can also choose from other roles such as Sort & Pack Crew, Agency Mart Crew, Clerical Crew, Donor Relations Phone Call Crew, and Special Events Crew. While most opportunities are available to those ten years of age or older, specific roles like Clerical and Donor Relations require volunteers to be at least 18 years old. Groups of 10 to 50 volunteers are welcome, and after-hours opportunities may be available depending on posting. All volunteer tasks are assigned directly by MSFB departments on a weekly basis, and training is provided upon arrival.
