Freedom Employability Academy connects volunteers with Mumbai charities for mentoring, animal care, sports, and donations.

The Freedom Employability Academy is a community initiative based in Mumbai dedicated to connecting individuals with local charitable organizations and volunteer opportunities. Founded after the pandemic highlighted the struggles of others, the group curates a list of credible non-profits and charities in the city where people can contribute their time, money, or simply their intention to do good. The academy facilitates various forms of engagement, including mentoring underprivileged students on career paths through Zoom sessions, walking and grooming stray dogs to combat rabies, and coaching football to help children from low-income backgrounds build confidence and stay out of trouble. It also promotes environmental stewardship by linking volunteers with organizations like Green Yatra that plant trees to fight climate change. Beyond direct service, the group encourages financial contributions to support marginalized groups through legal aid for women and the LGBTQ community, mental health crisis intervention, and health initiatives for vulnerable women and children. Additionally, the academy promotes sustainable practices by facilitating the donation of recyclable scrap, old books, and furniture to be repurposed or donated to libraries and NGOs, ensuring that even those without time or large sums can find meaningful ways to support their community.
