Independent Church of India choir in Delhi participates in North East India Choral Competition.

The Independent Church of India is a choir based in Delhi that participates in regional music events, including the 8th North East India Choral Competition organized by the Tangkhul Christian Charitable Trust. During this event held at Thyagaraj Stadium, the choir competed alongside eight other groups representing various Northeast Indian communities such as the Tangkhul Church Delhi, Khoibu Baptist Emmanuel Fellowship, and Kuki Christian Fellowship. The competition aimed to foster unity among diverse tribes and cultures in Delhi and the National Capital Region, providing a platform for young people to showcase their musical talents. Judging criteria included intonation, tone, diction, expression, balance, and stage presentation, with renowned international musicians serving as judges. While the Independent Church of India did not win a prize in this specific edition, the event highlighted the importance of harmony and fellowship through music, allowing participants from different backgrounds to mingle and coordinate effectively. The choir contributes to the broader mission of promoting togetherness and cultural exchange within the Northeast Indian diaspora residing in the Delhi-NCR area.
