The City of El Paso Animal Services is actively seeking volunteers and donations to support pets and pet owners during the COVID-19 pandemic. The organization is currently recruiting dog and cat foster parents, noting that fostering is completely free and all food and supplies are provided by the city. They also welcome donations to their pet food bank, which assists growing numbers of pet owners struggling with feeding costs. To encourage adoptions, the City has waived all animal adoption fees and implemented a new virtual adoption process with delivery services to minimize virus transmission risk.
