Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteer with the VA El Paso Healthcare System to support Veterans through various roles and donations.
The VA El Paso Healthcare System invites individuals to volunteer or donate to serve those who have served. Through the Center for Development and Civic Engagement (CDCE), volunteers with diverse talents are matched to specific assignments that provide warmth, comfort, and essential support within the health care facilities. Available opportunities include serving as greeters, working at information desks, operating a coffee cart, offering clerical support, assisting with social work services, participating in the Compassionate Contact Corps, leading recreational activities, joining the Volunteer Transportation Network, and supporting the homeless program or special events. While some roles require specific times, most are flexible to accommodate personal schedules. A dedicated Summer Youth Volunteer Program welcomes students aged 16-18 from June through August, offering real-world healthcare experience. In addition to volunteering, the facility accepts tax-deductible donations online or in person to care for veterans, with no extra fees charged to donors using the secure E-Donate platform. Applications for the youth program open in May, and interested individuals or donors are encouraged to contact the Volunteer Coordinator at [email protected] for more information.
