Slum Soccer is a Mumbai-based volunteering group that uses football to empower underprivileged youth.

Slum Soccer is a Mumbai-based volunteering group dedicated to empowering underprivileged youth through the universal language of football. Founded by Pankaj Mahajan, who overcame extreme poverty to become a confident leader and player for the Indian National Homeless World Cup, the organization uses sports to bring together boys and girls from low-income backgrounds. The group works tirelessly to convince parents to allow their children to play, believing that the sport transcends race, religion, and language. Through participation, the organization has successfully improved the aerobic abilities of many children and helped keep them out of trouble. Volunteers can contribute by signing up to coach football sessions, filling out an application form to join the team. The mission is to provide a space where underprivileged kids can blossom into confident leaders, fostering personal growth and community connection through the joy of the game.
