Teach For India volunteers in Mumbai's under-resourced schools to address educational inequity.

Teach For India is a community group based in Mumbai dedicated to transforming the education landscape through volunteerism. The organization recruits and trains outstanding graduates to serve as teachers in under-resourced schools across the city, directly addressing educational inequity. Through its fellowship program, Teach For India aims to build leadership among its fellows while creating long-term systemic change in the education sector. By placing skilled individuals in schools that lack adequate resources, the group works to ensure that children from disadvantaged backgrounds receive quality education and have the opportunity to succeed. This initiative focuses on fostering an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive, regardless of their background. The group's mission is to create a more equitable educational system by leveraging the potential of high-performing individuals to make a lasting impact on Mumbai's youth. Through this structured approach, Teach For India contributes to broader social development goals and supports the community's effort to bridge the gap in educational access.
